Bravery

Bravery
by hidoko Matsumoto

lining up insufficient words that can't convey the true things
(to do it) with only gentleness can't protect, (to say it) with only truth can't be conveyed

In photographs can't be reflected (photographed/duplicated)
the absolute feeling under that faked smiling face

don't listen (to it) so much, don't destroy it so much
That is your desired world

Don't say things like the past was good
as if you knew something of that shining time

Unvanishing wounds still exist, you who are also on the same route won't understand

Holding unbudgingly to the false truth
Ran away, then, (our) hearts strayed

Not hating it, surely this sort of person will always be (as he is)
that is your made-up world

To say things like the past was good, but
Only saying it based on what is reflected in those eyes
(you're) Speaking as if having seen everything, but
Just the surface, you who can't see, what are you using to judge
The truth will never be shared to anyone

It's fine if (you) don't come, it's fine if (you) don't watch
Don't intrude on us at all, this is what we've decided

Don't say things like the past was good
as if you knew something of that shining time
Always doing nothing but bad things, don't say it already
If the path we've chosen is wrong... already not existing
you have no bravery to know the truth

you will help us   we will help you
